Getting started
Install the app and open it. The first check starts by itself and reads your active products and the orders of the last 60 days. Use Check now to run it again.
What does “no code on the product, Shopify used …” mean?
The order was charged duties using a code, but the product has no HS code in Shopify. Open the product from the list and add the code you want to use. Old orders stay in the list as a record, and only new orders trigger an email.
What does “product now has …, Shopify used …” mean?
The code used on the order does not match the one on the product today. Longer national codes that start with your code count as a match. This can also appear if you changed the product's code after the order was placed.
Why does it say “Check not available”?
The order check only works when duties are collected at checkout, because only then do they appear on the order in Shopify. If none of your orders in the last 60 days has duties, the app says so. That is not an all clear. Your catalog check still works.
Does a complete catalog mean my codes are right?
No. The app sees whether a code and a country of origin are there, not whether they are legally correct. Ask a customs broker or your carrier about correct classification.
What about EU product identifiers?
The app counts variants with a SKU and a barcode. It cannot check the manufacturer's reference, because Shopify has no dedicated field for it. Ask your carrier or customs broker what they need from you.
